Overview

The Indigo Bunting is one of the most beautiful birds in Vermont. They can be found in habitats such as shrubby woodland edges and overgrown fields. Males are a vibrant blue, while females are all brown. 

Conservation

Indigo Buntings are a common songbird in Vermont and their population has even been increasing. Their habitat, shrubby forest edges, are very common throughout the state.
